I think I paid $600.00 for a JM 1st gen guide gun .45/70. Course that was at least 20 years ago.
I really want one of those trappers with the threaded barrel. I have a “remlin” trapper new in the box sitting here I wish was threaded.

I have owned a dozen Marlins over the last 45 years and the new Ruger made models are far and away the best in my opinion. Fit and finish is outstanding. A few slight ergonomic changes only add to it being one great package Straight Out of the Box.

I currently have a 45-70 trapper Model and three of my close friends have a variety of other new models. They are all great quality and Straight Shooters.
