Mausers?

Make sure yo use the right diameter bullet! Most of these have 0.318 barrels, modern 8mm Mauser uses the 0.323 bullet.
Thanks, I’ll measure but I’m pretty certain it will shoot the modern 8mm rounds since it has the spitzer “s” stamp.

I have a few rifles on various brands of commercial Mauser actions. This rifle is the prettiest, an Al Lofgren custom 308 built on an Interarms action that I found in a rack at the Tulsa gun show: IMG_0016.jpeg

Just dug an old sporterized 98 out of the vault that I'm pretty seriously considering rebarreling to 358 Winchester. Have a post-war FN Belgium with a 22-250 barrel that I should do something with also. And the wife occasionally uses a '96 Swede for hunting.

358 Mauser 🤔

Well I own a few Mausers all sporterized and some I actively shoot and hunt with. The others are merely donor actions for when I decide to build a new rifle. I always liked the old Mauser actions and think they make a great action to build on. So when I am at a Gun Auction and I see a Mauser action commercial or other wise if I can get it for a good price it comes home with me. My list 270 Win, 25-06, 220 Swift, 243 Win, 22-250, 7-300 Wby Mag done by Kimber of Oregon, 257 Wby Mag, 308 Norma Mag, and Hart Barrel 260. That is most of them if not all for now.

Does anyone have a stock and bottom metal recommendation for a Dumoulin Herstal Mauser? I have one in 7-08 that doesn’t feed well/at all.

Thank you in advance,

RH
