Has anyone messed with these? I’m really looking for a relatively simple 8x chest bino-RF. The previous 6ks I messed with fit the bill but I couldn’t look past the blue tint. I’m curious if the HDX glass has that corrected. I am pleased with Geovid-R image but they are chunkier and more expensive.

Do you know if those previous 6ks were the “HD” ? I’m having a hard time sorting through all the various models sig has come out with and currently have the 6k HD. I’m also wondering how much of an improvement the HDXs wil be

I’m pretty sure they were the HD, I messed with the compacts and x42s at TAC a few times.

Just got my HDX. Bought the HD about 3 weeks ago. I like everything about the HDX. Seem slightly less bulky, eye cups are better, comes with covers (whereas the HD did not), the focus ring is light years better (the HD is bulky and the materials have a slick feel to them. Glass seems better, I'm a bad one to give an opinion because I don't see the difference in high quality glass, but I'm definitely able to see clearer at longer distances with the HDX. I'm boxing my HD's up right now and will drop them off at Cabela's today.

Thanks for that. I went to check them out at cabelas, they have an eye chart across the store from the optics counter at my cabelas and I compared with trinovids, geovid Rs, vortex furys, and the 6k hdx all in 10x42. I seemed to be able to resolve the same elements with the 6k as I could with the leicas but the contrast was much better on the Trinovids and better on the geovids. The geovids are tanks, furys are chunky but not as much as the geovids and they balanced nicely, the 6ks were pretty compact to me and felt pretty good in the hands . I’m not shocked that the Leicas had better views but the 6k hdx wasn’t as blue as I remember the 6ks and I preferred the image to the furys.

So I spent the last 3 days behind the Sig Sauer Kilo 6K HDX. As I mentioned above, I had initially bought the HD version. Was not that impressed in terms of it taking the place of other binoculars in my arsenal, if you're using to just range targets it's fine, but the HDX glass was noticeably better IMO. So for a three day deer hunt I only carried the Kilo 6 HDX. I spent probably 15-18 hours behind the glass (very few animals, lots of glassing) and I will sell my Vortex Razors and keep the Kilo 6. Not that the Razors are bad, I think they are excellent, it's just I couldn't tell any difference between the Razors and the Kilo 6, but having the ranging capability is very nice, especially with the OnX integration, although the integration is can be accomplished manually with very little effort (using the Compass Mode in OnX).
