Hello Everyone,

I apologize to all of you for the delays and confusion on the new frames and will try and explain what’s going on, when they will be shipping and why they are delayed.

As most of you know we have been working on the new frame for quite sometime. We knew that we would be releasing them at some point in late summer/early fall and would have several in stock when we did so. This issue we needed up running into with this was the amount of people ordering the older frames this year and the fact that most of them would want to swap out for the newer model.
After talking with our production team and the sewers working on the frames, we decided to release them earlier than we had originally planned. This would keep us from getting hate mail about keeping the new frames from everyone while still selling the older models at the same time. If we had done that (continued selling the older model) we would be faced with the same issue we're dealing with now, but everyone would be loosing money in shipping too.

This plan was working pretty well when we gave everyone the estimated 4 week shipping dates, but we ran into a glitch when the first shipment of frames arrived from the sewers (this was a few weeks ago). The frames we received were quickly tested and a couple things needed to be fixed (QC issues), so we had to send them back so the QC/changes would be made to them. This obviously put us back a couple weeks, but we felt better about sending out the correct product late than an incorrect product on time.

The next production issue lies with a few large military orders that were not expected. Kifaru is now one of the last companies that are Barry amendment compliant (100% made in America with American components) and our military orders have picked up because of this. Some of these orders were for the new frames and some for other Kifaru gear, but either way they slow things down non the less.

The next issue we’ve run into is the overwhelming demand for theses frames from the general public. We had expected people to fall in love with them, as they are an improvement over an already great product, but again, we had no idea that they would sell like they have been. We’ve already increased our total production numbers to rectify this issue, but the initial demand has affected ship times as well.

At this point we’re shipping about 20-30 frames out per day (as many as the sewers can make each day), but it is ver difficult to know EXACTLY when each frame will ship, as they must meet specific standards before they go out the door. We are using expedited shipping to help get them to out valued customers as quick as possible, but again, we are not able to give an exact date to everyone as they are going out the door as quick as they come in (if the meet the inspection process).

We do hope you can understand that we had the best of intentions to get everyone these before hunting season and we also did not want to keep selling old frames to everyone when the new model was on the horizon anyway.

Again, we/I apologize for the delays and we will be shipping the frames out as quickly as possible, but we cannot give an exact date. We can, however, tell you that we will be slowly catching up on delivery dates as time goes on.

Thanks! Glad to hear you took care of a quick QC issue and didn't just ship them. Not many companies would do that.

Sounds like a ton of frames sold if your shipping out 20-30 a day and still behind :)

Hard to be mad at them for catching a QC issue and fixing it before sending out for us to find 5 miles from the truck.

Also tough to get pissed when they're taking care of the guys (.mil) that spend their time protecting our rights to bitch and moan freely.

Aron-

Quality response from a quality company and quality guy. Hard to find any fault there- even though there may be those that will anyways.

And I do not even have a frame ordered- I just appreciate good customer service.

Yeah that's awfully nice of Kifaru to upgrade everyone with frame orders to expedited shipping. Thanks for the updated info Aron!

I do not have a pack ordered but am planning on upgrading by next year. I am also former military and appreciate and respect a high level of integrity not only in people but companies as well. Aron's post just made my decision on what pack to go with next year an easy one.

Got word that my 22" frame is in stock, but my 24" frame isn't. There may be hope for other guys who ordered early and got a 22" frame too.

Just talked to them this morning and they said they expect another batch tomorrow and thought they should have mine ready for my trip on Friday. Hopefully there are no problems and I am sporting a new pack on my way up the mountain come Friday morning.

The real question is how many grid squares and how many feet of flight line can I carry?

Cheers Aron. That right there is why Kifaru is a great company and has such a loyal following. Rather have the best possible product than something shipped w/o proper QC. Had I not just got a Stone Glacier I'd have ordered one of these.

I also talked to them today. I had an original ship date of the 13th. They told me mine would prob be shipped out around the 1st. Praying it gets here by the 4th when I leave for Oregon Elk, but not holding my breath. It's my fault (or maybe my wife's) for selling my Bikini before getting the new frame.
Just wanted to give my order date and info in hopes it helps others.
