New guy from Washington

Hey guys and gals, newby from Washington. Heard about this site from the KUIU forum and finally registered. I only bowhunt and use a recurve for almost everything. Once in a while a longbow comes with too! Looking to get back into some long range predator hunting this winter as well. I have been backpacking in Colorado and Washington for elk primarily. Always have deer and bear tags in my pack too. I climb mountains in the summer to stay in shape and climbed Rainier, Adams, and Baker in the last month. Big into fitness and plan to run my first 100 mile ultra this next year.

I am hunting the east side this year. Hunting near some friends but only close enough to help each other on packouts if needed! I want to hunt the wet side one of these years to get a roosevelt and a blacktail with the bow.

I am going to double up on your post.... Another newbie from WA. Stumbled onto this site from Long Range Hunting Forum. I started bowhunting but rifled hunted last season and will this season as well, due to conflicting work schedule.

Currently trying to offload some SCUBA gear to fund purchase of new hunting pack and other gear....
