Just saying hello. Great forum here. Lots of reading!

Writing from Ireland where I hunt fallow deer, mostly on agricultural land. Also get a lot of sika and a few reds in the forestry and up the hills.

Mostly shoot .243, but recently got into 6.5 CM.

All the best

As the self-appointed chairman of the welcoming committee, it is my privilege to extend a laurel, and hearty handshake (virtual, of course) to our new IRL member, MK.

P.S. You sir, have been awarded the FNG ⭐ for the day simply because my wife is half Irish. 🍀

Welcome. Where in Ireland? Last time I was there I rented a car to explore the countryside. Absolutely gorgeous. Croke Park was fascinating too. Good to hear that there’s hunting there.

Thanks Eddie! Tell her I said hello! Can't beat the luck of the Irish.

Hey, Wooley Bugger! Down right at the bottom in County Cork. Lots of deer on this green island. Take it from the name you like a bit of trout fishing too. No shortage of good trout here. Hope you managed a cast when you were over.

Down right at the bottom in County Cork.

My family emigrated from County Cork to the US in the 1800’s. Small world.

I actually recently tried contacting the FBR to see if my great grandmother was ever registered (she was born the year after her parents emigrated). But alas, they never responded to my multiple requests.
