the 10x is one of the Swfa that I haven’t had yet, I feel like I should just to see. Though I think the 3-15 would be a great option even if only used from 3-12

What do you see as important differentiators between the two that drive your question?
My understanding is that both did well in the drop tests. In addition, both have very functional MQ reticles for hunting. I own a Gen I 3-15 and a 6x and like the reticle on both. I've never owned a RS1.2, but I've looked at the reticle and it looks very functional as well. So I guess my question is what do you get for the extra $$$ with the Maven? Does it have significantly better FOV from 6-12x? Is the glass noticeably "better" (I know this is subjective)? I don't have any complaints about my 3-15 other than FOV gets pretty tight at max magnification, but for hunting I'm probably never going to crank it up anyways.

Probably just suffering from FOMO since I don't have a Maven, but if there isn't any game changing characteristics between it and the SWFA, then I'll keep buying what works.

Per the stated specs, the SWFA has a wider FOV at 15X by .1'

Different reticles

4oz difference

Different aesthetics

I don't have any complaints about my 3-15

This is an important statement above.

I think that SWFA has a longer record of use, decades, compared to Maven's 1 year of producing a functional model (perhaps 3 tbd). I question the availability of warranty replacements with the former after their lack of inventory for the past three years. They appear to be out of stock of the g2 3-15x currently. I wouldn't have an issue sighting in a rifle tomorrow, and hunting with it in the fall without touching it in between.

If I were you, I'd grab the SWFA since you already use that reticle.

Appreciate it man, thanks!

Is the Maven illuminated? I had the SWFA and sold it as I found the reticle almost unusable for my old eyes from about 3-6x. It was terrible in low light or timber with the lower magnification range.

Yes but it's not really needed. It's a good reticle
