New Frame and Bags from Kifaru International

Lawnboi what did you dislike about the dt1

I like the one big bag concept, I always said if kifaru made a longhunter bag with a lighter weight and more flexible frame I would buy it in a heartbeat.... and it looks like that's what they did. I ended up not using the pockets very much on the T1. I like the ability to add and subtract pockets as I see fit, and save the weight. The bottom access of the t1 is kind of a pain as well, that U shaped one on the high camp looks like it will be much more useful. Other than that I loved the T1.

The T1 is a great pack, and if my t1 wont sell for what Im asking ill be keeping it! but if I can offload it and get exactly what I want, for very little extra cash, and save a lb......... So I figured why not sell the T1.

4800 high camp bag and 24" bikini duplex..... 4lbs 5oz. Add a couple medium KU belt pouches to it and possibly a KU long pocket for when I will be taking a spotter.

I noticed only 1 weight for the bikini duplex frame, I assume that with a small belt, and 24" stays Id be even a
Also Im curious Aron, will I be able to use an E&E as a lid with this pack the same as I did with my T1?? Also is the bottom of the pack double layered 500d like all the other hunting packs?

Just put the t1 in the classifieds, as long as I can get what im asking, ill be ordering this. The High camp bag looks perfect! Everything I didn't like about the T1 has been addressed.

Based on how it looks like the lid attaches in the pics on page 1 I would say yes the E&E will be able to mount up.

That's what It looks like to me as well, just wanted to confirm. Ill end up switching the E&E over to the K connectors as well if I do end up with a High camp.

I don't see why not, cut off the female buckles and you have the tabs to slip the connectors into.

Yes, they will handle an 80MM for sure.

Will those long pockets handle a 80 MM Swaro and compact tripod?

Yes, the hanging Meat Bag will work with the High Camp bag. We cut a lot out of the HC, but we did leave the two common loops in that location.

The K connectors will work anyplace a standard SR buckle will work, so yes, they will work fine.

I wonder if the k connectors are usable on the E&E?

Negative, they are not water proof.

500D Cordura is coated with a waterproof/resistant coating, but the stitching holes will still leak.

I did my calculations with the DT1 XTL (3 Lbs 12 Oz)

And the Bikini frame (2 Lbs 5 Oz)

Got it. I didn't see the XTL lid. I was going with the standard.

Aron, could you throw a couple sized spotters in some long pockets and put them on the new bag so we could see different configurations for packing a spotter?
