Does anyone think it's funny that Washington guys want to go to Alaska for a black bear hunt? Come on, Washington is as good of state as any to kill a really trophy bear. Especially if you want a DIY, public land adventure. I'm just humoring, but seriously your missing great opportunity. By the way Luke and becca seem like class act people so if that's the allure, then by all means ask away.

Just like most hunting in WA... Spend three times the amount of time in the field to see 1/3 of the animals you would in a handful of the other western states.

I'm not saying it's not worth hunting in WA because I will always kill my elk and deer here, but there's not a whole lot of great hunting in this state on a general tag. IMHO.

I do agree that Washington can be a bit more of a challenge with mature ungulates. But (I don't want this to come across too arrogant) in regards to bears, I will put my resume against ANY state.
