I think these were literally just released but wondering if anyone has checked them out yet?

Excited mostly for the 2 new pairs of pants.
Looks like the Pursuit Pant is something to potentially compete with everyone else on an early season pant with hip zips and 4 way stretch.

Then the Brush pant to me seems like a run at a revised Timberline Pant for mid-later seasons. Waterproof seat and knees with some reinforcement and most importantly, FINALLY with hip zips.

For jackets; The Kelvin LT looks like it might be a cool early season option but my suspicion is that it won’t be able to compete with a good lightweight down so likely probably will be a no go for most. But the Kelvin Pro being a light ish insulated windstopper jacket could be legit, I could see myself taking that to rock over a mid weight base layer setup and ambient vest mid season and having a puffy to go over it.

I ordered a couple of sizes of each pant to test out and one of each of the jackets. I’ll return what doesn’t seem to make sense.

Curious if anyone has gotten hands on yet?

Interesting that they made the kelvin with Windstopper still. I thought they would be following everyone else by getting rid of pfas.
Lightweight pants look good. Maybe an ascent pant with zippers? That could sell well.

I think all companies had to get rid of PFAS. They must be using some other form of waterproofing/coating.

I'm hoping the pants are Ascent-ish in nature, but I'd be fine with something a little less "soft" for lack of a better term.

Pursuit pant show a weight of around 29oz. Ascent Pants are around 12oz. I do not think pursuit pants will be for early season hunting only opinion. But I guess that can depend where you hunt. Look like more of a mid to late season. But man, those are some hefty prices lol.

Interested to hear an actual weight on the pursuit pants. Seems no one these days can post specs on their gear when they release it...

Oh, dang I didn't even see weights listed when I ordered., I wonder if they just updated it this morning. But yeah if that weight tracks that's not promising for a good Kutana replacement...

EDIT: Still not seeing the weight of the pants listed, curious where you're getting that information from??

Google AI

And here is what google AI just told me, gleaned from a Backwoods Pursuit YouTube video:

The Sitka Pursuit Pant features a lightweight, breathable, and highly stretchable 90% polyester and 10% elastane fabric, weighing roughly 12 oz (about 340 grams). This weight makes it an incredibly nimble option designed for warmer early-season hunts and hiking

I wouldn't trust that to pick up the right model of a million Sitka pant variations when Sitka themselves isn't publishing the data. @K_pem can you weigh yours when you get them and post with the sizes?
Definitely, I plan on doing a short write up of my initial thoughts on all 4 of the pieces that I picked up and how they fit respectively. I bought 32s and 34s just to be safe and will either sell here or return the pairs that don't fit. I went Large on both of the new Kelvin jackets which has seemed to usually work out for me with the exception of a few pieces I have that I had to go up to XL for.

And yeah, Google AI is not a reputable source for a pair of pants that were released literally a day or two ago without specs listed. lol

And here is what the exact same search on Google AI, but on my phone instead of laptop, gave me lol:

The SITKA Pursuit Pant is an all-season, lightweight garment with a total weight of approximately 17.1 to 17.6 ounces (about 1.1 lbs) depending on the size. Designed for high mobility, it features a 90% polyester and 10% elastane 4-way stretch fabric with breathable side-zip hip vents.

Looks like they are between 12 and 29 oz :D

LOL. What????? And what is their source?
I don’t know. But it’s interesting since last comment. I asked again and I got 12-16oz for weight. So who knows what’s right. If that’s the right weight then they would be more inline with the Ascent. But for the price, I’d stick with what I got. Inflation is making a killing.

It'd sure be a lot easier if Sitka would just put a weight on the website!

No argument there, sh!t just keeps getting more expensive. But I'm just saying man, I wouldn't go Google AI something and then make a claim that that's their weight without Google AI listing a valid source lol.

Do you not look at the source it cites, and click on that to check? You just blindly take it as gospel and then share that info, adding more disinformation?

Basically. Everything is disinformation now a days. You can or not take my word or do the searching yourself. I’m only trying to be helpful like others. If you have real information that is factual, please share and enlighten us, instead of being that one guy.
