New developments coming this summer

No tracking info yet for me. I'm planning on not getting my order by the time I leave for AZ next week. Kind of a bummer, but I'll have them for guiding in Oct looks like.

Received my preorder today! I love the gear, way to go OV and Exo!

I wasn’t sure between the medium and large for the mid layer, so I ordered both. The medium is usable, and may be the more appropriate size, but it seemed a little more snug than I’d like. The large was comfy, with probably a touch more room than it needs for me. I love that the torso and arm length aren’t so short that the sleeves pull up my arms when I reach out.

I think I’m going to want a size large for the puffy. Anyone have different info to suggest I may want medium?

My shipment showed up today as well. Wearing the pants as I type this. Huge fan! The Pursuit Fleece is very nice as well, but a little warm here right now to wear it much yet. The Fleece is definitely an "athletic" cut, as it shows my "figure" with it on. Lol.

Just got my hands on the new OV pants and I’m seriously impressed. Wore them since they arrived today and they check a lot of boxes for me: super light, very comfortable, fit great, stretch is spot-on, and the feature set is just enough without being overbuilt. Price point is also really reasonable. Honestly, they’re exactly what I’d want in an early to mid-season pant.

Only nitpicks: I’m not a fan of the mesh in the hip vents, it feels unnecessary and from my experience, with the Kuiu version, can attract burrs. Minor gripe though, because overall these are my new favorite hunting pants. Liked them enough that I already ordered a second pair.

Could you compare the fabrics weight and feel to the prana zions or other popular pant? (Agree on the mesh - I’ll probably cut mine out.) appreciate it!

Funny timing, I actually wore my Prana Zions to dog training this morning. When I got home, the OV pants had shown up early, so I wore those for the rest of the day.

Obviously this is very subjective (and I’m comparing 10ish year-old, well worn Zions to brand new, never washed OVs), but here’s my take:
  • The OV fabric feels a bit lighter.
  • There’s noticeably more stretch, makes sense since they’re 7% spandex vs. the Zions’ 3% elastane.
  • To me, the OVs just feel better on overall and drape nicer.
So, lighter, stretchier, and (at least in my opinion) more comfortable... and I've always liked the zions.

How about the sizing? How do they compare? Also how “skinny jeans” are the legs?

They fit true to size for me. The cut is just about perfect - I don't like pants that feel like they are catching on my thighs when I step up and these definitely don't. They are roomy without being baggy.

Received my pants and mid layer in the mail today. I am impressed with the quality and fit of both pieces. I followed the size charts and measurements that OV had posted and the pieces fit to that. The mesh front pockets in the pants are just ok, and I wish they were just a hair deeper, but it's a minor gripe. The pants are very stylish and fit well...its kinda sad I will be getting them dirty.

Got my pants and fleece in today.

Pants-

I like the materials and feel a lot. Fit wise is pretty good as well, I knew these would be a little bit on the "trim" side of things and since I have thick thighs I was a little worried. Without a doubt they are on the tighter fit side for my legs but they aren't uncomfortable at all, in fact I really like the way they fit. With a base layer, especially a thicker one I might not like them quite as much but they are plenty stretchy. Glad i got the Stone brown color, it is awesome.

I also, wish the pockets were just a hair deeper but that's being nit picky because they should be plenty deep enough. However, I do wish they had a more of a reinforced spot for a knife with a clip on it though.

Fleece-

The fleece ended up being to tight for me. Would be almost perfect as a stand-alone top but anything on underneath it was a no go fo me. Way too tight in the armpit area when worn over a sun hoody and even worse with my base layer and sun hoody. I will be going up a size for this piece. Over all, I really liked it though, really lightweight piece with good feeling materials, seemingly great build quality, long front zip.

Received the pants and midlayer today. First impressions of both are great.

Pants-
Feel is very lightweight and stretchy. I like the fit much more than Kuiu Kutana's I've used previously as these actually have some space for your thighs without fitting like lululemon leggins. This is coming from someone who is NOT a huge guys either at 5'9", 165lb. Got mine in 30" waist. I really like the built in belt more than I thought I would. I've never really had a issue with using my own belt on other pants, but not needing one is convenient.

Midlayer-
Fit for this was good. As someone mentioned above, sizing up may be preferable. I have somewhat large chest and wide shoulders relative to my waist and I usually find myself in between M and L for tops. Happy I ordered a L for this as the M would likely have been too tight. I have a bit more length in the sleeves than I need, but that's usually the case for tops that fit me.
I have run alpha direct pieces before, so I'm excited to try a version with some face fabric built in.

OV did a great job with these and I'm looking forward to spending time in the woods with them this fall.

Got my pants today too. Will be interesting(in a good way) to hunt in something that feels like pajamas. Built in belt is perfect, no zippers on the back pockets is how all pants should be. Only thing I don't like is the "swishyness" I hunt a lot of think brush places and hate unnatural loud created by pants/coats/backpacks/bugle tubes Hopefully after a few washes that fades away, time will tell.
