New developments coming this summer

Appreciate the response! I received a pair of Kuiu 32” Attack pants recently and felt like I needed to give up carbs for a year to fit into them. Only after did I read that their sizing ran smaller than the stated size. Fingers crossed 33” are perfect from OV.

The pants are advertised as 4 way stretch...does the waistband have any stretch?
Yes, but keep in mind there is a built in belt. So whether that's an advantage in your mind (more comfort/flex) or disadvantage (what if they lose their shape/get too baggy over a 7-day hunt?) can be limited/helped by the belt. My experience was to order pretty true to my normal waist/pant size and inseam.

Thats exactly what I needed to know. I ordered the 38 because based on my waist measurement, I was just right at the top end of the OV size chart for the pants. If there is a bit of stretch they should be just right. The built in belt option will great for taking in any multi day stretch or adjusting fit as needed. I have a pair of SG DeHavilland Lite pants with their adjustable zipper system, which pretty much uses a built in belt as the waist closure mechanism....I like , but don't 'love' this design as if the belt slips even a just a little bit it feels like the top of the pants is coming open...for the Altura's to have a button closure along with the built in belt looks like it should be just perfect. Also, the Alturas should be significantly lighter than the SG's (my XL DeHavilland Lites in XL are over 20 oz for the pair, while the 38 Alturas should be several ounces lighter)...People talk about weight on the feet affecting leg fatigue, but pant weight can affect this too (a few ounces off the thighs and calves makes a difference over many days of hiking....)

Look at the Kuiu Attack waist measurements in their size charts and it looks like the Attacks measure out a size smaller compared to the Alturas, so I bet you will be spot on.
