New developments coming this summer

Have any others had issues getting CS to apply your discount code retroactively? They’re trying to tell me I was never on the list even though I signed up and received what I thought were the emails previous to the sale (shown below). Maybe I signed up for the wrong list? At the end of the day it’s only 10%… but it’s the principle of the thing.
Hey Levy, I went ahead and refunded you for the discount difference. Based on your screenshots you did sign up for the list targeted to our "regular" audience vs the links we had in rokslide, exo's podcast, etc. Clearly you were on our broader email list though, so I took care of that for you. I also pointed this out to our CS team so hopefully this isn't the case for others going forward. Thanks!

Thanks for taking care of that Tayson - means a lot! Thought I had signed up using the links on the Exo podcast, but apparently went wrong somewhere. Appreciate you standing behind it regardless. Excited to get these things out in the field!

Hey Everyone, Tayson here with OV. Just wanted to say thank you for turning out for the pre-sale launch! You exceeded our estimates (that we thought were high already) by a good margin! So thank you for that! I grew up hunting my whole life and more specifically enjoy hunting the backcountry and staying mobile! When I started the company 11 years ago I really wanted it to be a hunting company, but decided to stay more broad before I launched it. I'm super excited to be able to launch pieces more directly built for hunting world after all these years!

I also wanted to give a big thankful shout out to Steve and Mark of Exo and all of the other testers that put days, miles and time into the development and refinement of these pieces! They are significantly better for you help! Thanks again everyone and we can't wait to get these products into your hands as fast as we possibly can!
I just appreciate the fact that the owner is hands on and interacting with us all! Can’t wait to try the new pieces!

Placed an order for the gray pursuit hybrid fleece. I’m a member and had $120 saved up so only paid $8.50…winning

Unfortunately it won’t be here in time for my caribou hunt the first week of sept, but I should have it for my moose hunt in mid sept.

Glad to see yall making some hunting focused stuff. Knew you hunted when I found the company a few years ago, figured it would just be a matter of time.

Couldn’t have picked better guys to partner with!

Does anyone Know how the pants fit? I’m usually between a 36 and 38 depending on whether it’s a slim fit or more relaxed. I don’t skip leg day so I need to a little extra room but don’t want them too baggy once I’m in the backcountry and have lossed a few pounds. I love the kuiu katanas but they start to sag once they get wet. Does the integrated belt add a little flexibility? I know I could order both and return but it seems like these are in high demand so I’d prefer to minimize the burden on OV. Thanks

Typical me waited too long to grab a medium gray fleece....but did manage to snag the stone brown pants. Hope the fleece tops are back in stock by October. Excited to try these!

The waist does pretty true to size.

They did a great job on the leg and inseam making it roomy enough in the thigh to not feel like you’re re-visiting summers of your youth at Warped Tour in skinny jeans, but tapered enough in the leg to feel like you’re not in Jnco’s.

The belt works really well, too. I never found it binding or bunching up like others.

I would say order your normal size and you’ll be good to go.

Can someone school me on the active insulation midlayers vs traditional grid fleece? I wear a Sitka core heavy weight zip t but it's getting a little worn out and a little tight for comfort. What are the big advantages of Evolve over grid fleece? Sorry if I missed this conversation somewhere in the thread already.

The evolve generally just has a wider use case. It is warmer than a grid fleece when stationary, wicks mositure nearly as well, and in my opinion breathes better and dries a good bit faster. These newer hybrid designs, like this and the sitka ambient, also add an ultralight nylon face fabric. What this does is shed that light drizzle that just soaks your heavyweight fleece, and makes them a little more pick resistant. I think ambient is the best thing sitka has ever made, and at this price for this piece, is a no brainer over a standard fleece, IMO.

Chase gave a great explanation.

This piece has a hybrid of the two and is "mapped" to have the evolve in places you'd want more warmth, but greed fleece where you may not.

I'm actually still a huge fan of grid fleece in spite of it being "old technology". This is a very, very light grid (compared to the Condor, old FL grid, etc.) and very, very light 'active insulation' (compared to the Ambient). The combination was such that you never got too hot or too cold and felt like you could just live in the piece for the entire hunt. The only time I remember taking it off all season was on unusually hot fall days during a pack out.

I liked it so much that I bought two during the launch on Monday....I only did that to not suck up all the inventory.
