Ordered a new bow for the first time in a dozen years just to try something different than the 54lb Great Northern Bushbow I have been shooting since 2014.

The goal was a 45lb-ish bow that I can build a lighter/flatter arrow setup for for chasing hogs and Florida whitetail. I went with an inspected black hunter longbow (45# @ 28”) from shatterproof archery, and honestly from the little bit I have shot it with a bare shaft the last few days it really is impressive as heck for a $188 setup.

Me being me, there is zero chance I wasn’t at least going to paint the limbs. I’m not sure how I arrived at this color selection (matte gold over charcoal gray camo) as it’s wildly different than what I normally do for camo on bows/rifles/treestands etc but I don’t think I hate it.
