Have an old pair of Kenetrek Mountain Extreme Non-Insulated, that have gosh knows how many miles on them. I live out west so am in the mountain often. They have served me well, but it's finally time for new boots, and would like something a bit wider. Will still be used for hunting, but am also on Search and Rescue, so will be used for that as well. Right now, trying to decide between the Scarpa Ribelle HD and Grand Dru GTX. Nowhere local to try them on, so will most likely end up ordering from somewhere wiht a friendly return policy.

For those of you who have had any of the above, how do they stack up in terms of stiffness and fit to the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme's? Anything else I should be looking at?

I find my salewa boots to be solid performers. Wildfire are the low top shoes I wear for work, I believe they make a high top version as well

Well, ended up with a pair of Crispi's. Came to the realization that gonna end up wiht 2 pairs of boots - wanted something a bit lighter and a tad softer for summer and early season (Lapponia 3) and then will get something stiff and slightly insulated for winter (Briskdal Pro). So far am loving how comfortable they are, time will tell how they hold up and stay waterproof.
