New 6.5PRC sig cross sawtooth

Just saw Sig post a new cross model. Sawtooth package in 6.5 PRC. ~6.9 lbs w/ 22” carbon barrel, could be a really nice rig if they shoot as well as my 308 (and give far better ballistics). Looks to be on their standard short action or a modified derivative instead of the magnum action. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Great looking rifle. I just picked one up in 6.5 Creed with an 18” barrel. If I didn’t already have a 6.5 PRC, I would snag the Sig in a hurry.

The 18" version in 6.5 is a hammer.

Emailed sig to ask about buying a magnum bolt head. They said they're not YET available as a part. I can see a 6 UM in the future off my kids.

The only cross I've seen was at class in .308. It had an issue with the magazines and them being extremely tight. I think it fed okay but do they all have the proprietary mags?

No, just a Magpul polymer AICS magazine. Pretty sure I can toss a metal AICS in there, just haven’t tried.

My 6.5 Creedmoor feeds perfectly out of the non “Sig specific” magpul AICS mags (as well as the Magpul/Sig specific follower ones).
