Those side baffle breaks will mess your ears up, even with plugs in. I will prob buy one of these and run a suppressor. Glad CA finally caught on to the short barrel demand

The brake looks unimpressive imo, but if I had the option I would’ve gotten my 6.5 PRC in a canyon instead of mountain. Would love to be able to throw my suppressor on.
Most factory brakes are- but sure is nice to have a threaded barrel. The mountain 2.0 didn't have enough room to thread

Saw an add for a Howa Superlite today. 4 pounds 7 ounces in a suppressor ready 6.5 Creedmoor. Would make a great little truck gun. Not sure it would replace my Fieldcraft though. Has some good features listed (3 position safety, flush detach mag). I have never owned a Howa though so have no idea how nice these are.

MSRP $1,399. *quick research found some listed for $1,159 online.

The Bergara looks interesting but with a price of $2700 or so it would be tough to justify vs going full custom
I ran some numbers, without waiting for any sales or anything, you can be within $100 or so of the bergara just piecing a custom rifle together yourself at home using a CF prefit, origin action, ~$600 stock, triggertech trigger. That’s assuming a street price of $2500 for the bergara

That’s very intriguing… wish it didn’t have a detachable magazine but I can deal with it for the price. I’m very impressed

If you decide to sell your fieldcraft you won’t have an issue selling it!

I just saw this a few days ago as well, but like you, I have zero experience with Howa. 4 1/2 lbs. is impressively light!

Those Christensen Arms and the Howa both look pretty intriguing, that 20 inch 300 WSM from CA looks pretty sweet.

That Ridgeline FFT is really gonna screw me up. I was all but set on the Seekins Havok Element.

Anyone heard what a release date on those are?

Pretty sure they have a manufacturing facility in Georgia.
They have an assembly facility in Georgia, barrels still manufactured in Spain. My point was you can spend the same amount of money and gamble, or get a guarantee and a handshake from a gunsmith. Your choice.
