Nevada 072 Elk scouting over 4th July weekend

A few pics to share from scouting in 072 over the 4th of July weekend.

We saw 13 bulls and 3 cows on two different evenings in two different drainages but I only had my camera one night. We also saw quite a few deer and antelope.

My first trip of many into this area - beautiful country.

Beautiful Country. Was this in the JB wilderness area?

Yes except for the antelope which was on the way in the deer were bedded down just 100 yards from the elk crossing the meadow. There were 3 cows that also hung back in that strip of burnt timber.

We did see 8 bulls outside of the wilderness area too.
