Need Help: SFP Hunting Scope w/exposed turrets.

A few years ago, my doctors found a tumor in my head that pushing my leye out of my head. The surgery went well, but my vision is a mess. I still see ok, but it is harder to focus

Long story short:
- I cannot use a FFP for (cannot see the reticle well enough at lower powers) hunting.
- While I can see the hash marks on a SFP scope, I would rather use a dial for taking longer hunting shots.

I would like to keep the cost of the scope less than $1,000 that has exposed.

Other than Leuphold, does anyone make a hunting suitable scope (reasonable weight, 12-15 max. magnification) in my price range with exposed turrets?

Under $1,000 is Trijicon Credo territory and maybe Zeiss V4. Over $1,000 opens up Nightforce and others.

Trijicon credo hx is what you are after. And can be had, new, for under $1000 YTD

I have a credo and it’s a good scope but the reticle is a bit thin, the accupoint 4-16 may be another option with a thicker reticle

I bought a Credo and the reticle was too thin for me. I returned it and got an LHT.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say you need to go look through them in person. While a lot of these suggestions are "good," given your condition you need something that works for YOU.

Order a bunch from a place with a good return policy and/or go to stores where you can look through them.

Definitely try a Nightforce NSX 2.5-10x42 along with the Trijicon Credo. The huskemaws I’ve used in the past have been great as well.

This is what I would buy, pretty sure they make a tall turret kit for it

Tract Toric 2.5 - 15 x 44mm SFP T-Plex Illuminated Center Dot

The Tract scopes may be in line with what you're looking for, you can get tall turret kits for them, but the zero stop only allows just short of one full rotation. You could also just keep the cap off and use the regular turret for extra rotations. I've got a Nightforce SHV 3-10 with the illuminated Forceplex, it would be my choice (and it is my choice), 10x can realistically cover just about any "reasonable" (everyone has a different definition) hunting shot.
