Need boot advice

I'm in the market for a pair of boots

Considering kennetrek , schnee's, etc.

I'm in georgia so I dont have much experience with these types of boots.

I have fairly narrow size 12 feet with high arches. I have to cinch up boots and shoes pretty tight and I have a set of arch supports in every shoe/boot I own, the type that goes under the heel and arch of your foot only.

I know its best to try them all on but with no retailer carrying these boots anywhere around me thats going to require a lot of ordering and returning. I'm fine with that but thought maybe you guys could give me a head start.

I'm leaning toward some insulation 200-400g maybe.

I dont think I need a terribly stiff boot right now, ill be glad to buy another pair if I can ever afford or draw a sheep or goat tag.

I wear size 11 narrow Lowa Renegades with Superfeet Blue inserts. They work for my narrow feet with low to mid arches. I think they have ~400g of insulation. I've worn them for 5 years now, mostly on flat land though.

I already have a lighter pair of Soloman's , I think I'm looking at something more like the mountain hunter, beartooth, timberline, etc

I have similar feet - size 12, narrow foot. I just got a pair of Crispi Valdres GTX in size 12. They were the most snug fitting boot I've had. I actually ended up handing them off to my dad who normally wears 11-11.5 in shoes and ordered a size 12.5 for myself. I took them on a 3 mile loop on a local WMA (I'm also a GA guy) and my toes rubbed just a little on the front and side of the toe box. I'm expecting the 12.5 to be just about perfect. The Valdres are uninsulated, but I have a pair of La Crosse 500g insulated boots that I've had for probably 10 years to wear on the few days that I need insulation down here.

$400 - $500 is a lot of money where I live as well …. my feet are well worth it

Miendl boots are worth taking a look at. Just got my first pair and love them. A good value at $300 too
