Need a gunsmith who will also do load development

why not just send them the action and let them do the work? I know it doesn't cover load development but I'm sure they have loads that have been proven with their barrels.
Doesn’t really work that way. One, I’m providing the barrel and two, every barrel is different. I have three Bartleins, for example, two like Barnes bullets, the other hates em. Go figure.

what about this…

What if you have the smith spin on the barrel and then you load up 5 bullets at max and go shoot. You might be surprised! If it doesn’t shoot, then decide what to do, but you might be pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I have resigned myself to do at this point.

They don't shoot ?
They were a wonder in our two creedmoors that has me convinced needed new barrels.
They shoot great in one of my rifles. On this particular barrel, no, they won’t shoot well. See above, tried two types. Nothing I’ve tried shoots well out of this barrel. I’m moving on.
