Looking for recommendations for a good cot pad/mattress. I'm middle aged and everything hurts, so I need it to be comfortable. I've seen some memory foam ones on Amazon that look nice, but I don't know how well those hold up over time. I'd like to find something that is not too bulky or heavy and would prefer to stay under $200 if possible.

I just went down this rabbit hole, spent days researching and reading reviews. I’m prioritizing comfort, but still want a packable pad. Ordered the Sea to Summit Ether XT pad yesterday which is 40% off right now. If you’re a Veteran, log in with govt and get another 20% off.

Exped mega mat is super comfy, not crazy durable though…. I treated it well and still popped it. The hest memory foam is super comfy, a bit more $, can’t pop this one…. Car camping only though..

I’ve had this one for two seasons. About 2 dozen nights on it. Car camp and all on floor of tent, no cot, but should be good on a cot. Add/subtract air to firmness of your choice. I’ve slept comfy.

I picked up a Hest foam mattress this last summer when they ran a sale. Used it to sleep in the back of the truck bed during archery elk season. Should be a good option for a tent or in a wall tent/cot setup. Biggest “like” about it is no need for inflation. It’s a little big when rolled up but I found it super comfortable and a big improvement over the air mattresses I was using before. Very quick to roll in or out if you’re constantly moving camp.
