What animal do you guys think this came from?

I would say a coyote with some pretty nasty roids. My australian shepard found a dead road killed beaver and was dropping some enormous hairy link sausage around the yard.

Likely not a lion. Lions usually don't have that much hair, not quite big enough, wrong shape and they rarely drop it in a road, typically cached up under a tree. If it is on a road, I'd bet coyote, that's pretty standard fare for coyote territorial behavior,
