I have a new 20" bartlein steel barrel on my tikka t3, broke in with 20 rounds and then started load development. I have 147 eldm with the N565, started break in with a minimal charge of 55 grains of N565. After 20 rounds I increased charge by .5 grains and ran it over garmin and shot 3 shot groups .020 off lands.
55, 55.5, 56, 56.5, 57, 57.5, 58, 58.5, 59, 59.5. I had no pressure signs untill 59.5 and I started to get heavy bolt lift. I backed off to 58.5 because of grouping and sd & es. .47" group. Zeroed load and took it out to 700, load shot a little faster 2904 with single digit SD and ES. Very happy with load and powder as it is my first time tryin the 147 eldm and N565, next I plan to make a load up with the 156 Berger and see what I come up with.

Brand new Lapua brass with br2 primers
CBTO-2.334 (.020 off lands) got a lot of useful information from here. Figured I'd share my results. I did not try magnum primers or the federal large rifle primers yet. After range I had 62 down the pipe.

Good luck, I was at 58.5 grains N565 with the 156 EOL in my 20” Bartlein, Lapua brass and 210M primer. Was at 2,825 avg but had my last group hit 2,850. Barrel has just over 100 rounds on it so might be speeding up

@lintond what's up with the first shot being dead nuts then 2 and 2 are progressively left and then high?

Just saw this question. I think it’s 1) shooter being subpar 2) I was fighting some mirage.

Also the # of the shots isn’t the correct order. That’s just how I picked them in the app.
