IMO it depends most on whether you realistically plan on killing something or not. I wouldn't, as I prefer something more in the 7,000 ci range to fit but my gear and meat.
Matt brings up a good point, in how you wish to load on the way out. I use the load shelf with my gear in the bag. If you want to put everything in the bag, the Metcalf will not be big enough for an extended hunt.
Did you happen to have a pack list or a pack dump picture? Curious to see what you brought to manage to fit 10 days out of MetCalf with a Sheep packed.
I have 7 days worth of gear, weights around 55lbs. Days were warm but nights down to 0 degrees C. There was no room left over. List includes cloths I'm wearing.
