@Unknown Munitions - any chance of you carrying the Halder Push & Go on the wooden Rokstocks? Would make for a pretty slick set-up.Respect! That tool requires a lot more discipline than mine. Must be very rewarding.
This was the most significant part of the recent patina

You're right and please don't! The drilled hole was a mistake and I really regret doing it. The idea was lightweight/silent attachments/quickrelease via climbing cord and stopknots. In retrospect, I should have done more research and found the slim/ elegant Halder Push Go quickrelease www.push-and-go.eu
The rifle sling is part belt/part bungee and works really well, quietly securing the rifle tightly agaist the body. Very nice when crawling or moving in broken terrain. So that part of the project was successful; the mistake was not terminating the sling in a Halder.

(And, sure, that @Formidilosus guy doesn't like slings, but what does he know? )
Man I’d love a big cat one day! Nice work!
I didn’t realize what the rifle was rested on initially….that is legit.
All that trash tqlk about slings for years ... and now you're rocking one in leather???
