Just got the new Kifaru 22 mag. The load sling seems unnecessarily long, any load would sit lower than my hips, probably close to butt level. I used k clips to take about half the slack out and now sand bags/weights sit where I want them. My question is, why is the sling so dang long to begin with? Even a full elk quarter would sit too low it seems and is way longer than any other sling, including hellbender. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I’ve thought this about every Kifaru load sling. I started cutting mine off and sewing 2 straps on the frame buckled to themselves behind the bag like my EXO’s.
