My first garage built knife.

1080 steel. Od green burlap and black micarta pins.
Cheap harbor freight 1x30, drill press and band saw then your basic hand tools.
Happy with how it turned out but it's far from perfect. Took some effort to sharpen so I think the heat treat is ok....or maybe it's too hard....I really don't know. Learning as I go. Will do somethings differently on the next one.

Very nice. I love the blade shape. What is the handle material? I see the burlap but is there a binder?

Just 3/16" burlap epoxied on with the micarta pins. The scales themselves are layers of burlap with epoxy holding it all together.

It really makes a guy want a decent 2x72..
Finished the sheath and did an overnight potato patina. Polished it up a bit with steel wool.
