Pro-tip: plan for shitty weather, but hope for the best. This summer has been VERY dry! We had a VERY late spring, coupled with VERY little rain. However that can change.

Camp smart, rivers will come up fast if we start getting rain.

Yes and no. That's not an area I hunt directly so I'd defer that to the regulations. The Haul Rd in and of itself is broken up into a few different areas to include special management areas, each with their own subset of rules. It's a mix of OTC, Draw and registration hunts.

This is an old thread and I'm not sure if he is still around. You might just start a new thread and post your questions. Plenty of Alaska folks on here and quite a few of us from the lower 48 that have done the Haul Rd trip and other AK adventures as well.
