I was hunting California with proper deer and bear tags. Bear season runs concurrent with deer in my unit. I also hunt Oregon as a non res, with fall bear running Aug 1st to Dec 31st. Oregon deer starts Oct 4 I believe here on the coast.

Ammo were 180gr copper I believe but not sure. I got them years ago and no longer have the box. Researching replacements.

Fantastic story and quick action on your kid's part. As for replacement ammo, might I recommend Underwood 220gr Hard Casts?
