Muzzleloader Optics

I run a Hi-Lux 3-9x muzzleloading scope when whitetail hunting have it dialed to my load so markings are spot on for bullet drop but it’s not a high end scope but the glass is decent for what I use it for and it’s been dropped on some hunts in the mountains and smacked on a few trees when pulling the muzzy up to the stand and it’s held zero with no problem I’d buy it again but it’s no comparison glass wise to my sig scopes or zeiss glass I’ve got but again it gets the job done and holds light pretty well at last shooting.

Ah I see I’ve got a .50 so I was looking at the fury .45s. I’ve never tinkered with this so I figured I’d ask and see if you had any recommendations on what fury .45 and what harvester sabot I could pair to mess with?
Your .50 is a 1:28 twist I assume and you’re hunting deer?

I’d try some of these 250 or 265 bullets with a Harvester black crush rib sabot.

What Scope did you end up choosing? I am building a smokeless Muzzleloader and purchased a Viper HS 2.5-10x44. Curious if it will hold up to the recoil

The recommendation of swfa, nightforce and trijicon are all great options. I'm also with ElDiablito on the vortex scopes and would avoid if at all possible. I've had way to many of my customers destroy them on smokeless muzzleloaders.
If i have a customer who insits on using a vortex, i tell them it's a good thing they have a great warranty, because your going to need it lol. Another great scope manufacturer that seems to get overlooked is Sightron. Even there lower end scopes have held up well on these muzzleloaders. Good luck on your search

I will check out Sightron Scopes as well, I am not familiar with them. Are all SWFA scope good or mostly the fixed power models?
