This article covers PRB’s test fixture design which used a force sensor to measure recoil. It’s not even arguable which design is better. That sled used in the first video can have results effected by lubrication or just the viscosity of the lubrication as temperatures change. There’s no tricking a force sensor.

APA are by far the most effective.
I've had a bunch of different brakes. There's been several scientific tests over the years too and the APA's are always at the top. They're also consistently the #1 brake used by top PRS shooters which is a game of recoil management.
I guess all those too pro shooters who consistently choose APA brakes for the most part are wrong then.

I just rewatched the video, his brake performed to best. Yeah, there wouldn’t be any bias in that to mess with results, huh? He’s got skin in the game.

Just seems you really like to argue.

you also like to bag on anyone trying to do any test that isnt Precision rifle blog. You have bagged on form a ton and now your trying to bag nathan.

When are you going to start posting / publising some of your own tests? Or are you only an expert from behind a screen? If you going to be so critical why dont you put some skin in the game. Show us how good you are.

First you say APA is the most effective.
This statement is not accurate. The alamo four star was the most effective 3 out of 4 times.
Did you even read the link and follow up articles you posted?

I didnt see a Muzzle brakes and more design on the precision rifle blogs list so I respect nathan for at least doing a test to show how good his brakes are. Even if you dont like the test.

The “Mayhem Contributor” says I like to argue.

I’ve referenced PRB exactly once and until that other video I didn’t know who the **** muzzle brakes and more was. So I’m not sure how you come to the conclusion that I like to bag on them.

You can take from it what you wish but if you can’t see which test has more room for flawed results by design and which test would have more probability for bias then I don’t know what to tell you.

And yes the scope drop test has a lot of room for error too. How it lands is not controlled at all beyond how it’s held when the fall starts, and how many hits that “bonded” chassis and action can take before no longer being bonded is also questionable. It’s a flawed test. Better than nothing but there’s a lot of room for error. The same optic very well could both fail and pass.

Just cut your losses and stop. You can't make ridiculous claims that "brand x" is the best when you haven't tried them all

You mean like how Nightforce is touted as the best optics by people who have probably never even seen a S&B, Hensoldt, ZCO, or TT in person, let alone used any of them?

No I haven’t used every muzzle brake on the planet, and neither has anybody here and neither has anybody in either of those tests.

APA makes amazing brakes. Not sorry if you don’t like it.

I could care less what brake you like but dont say they are the best. The best you have used....fine. Your favorite brake.....fine. But your opinion doesnt make it fact. I didnt see anyone in the tests saying a specific brake was "the best", not too mention those tests you are hanging your hat on dont take anything into account other than recoil reduction, also not to mention the brake you claim to be "the best" didnt even do the best in that specific test

Obviously, I didn't give that to myself.

Yes, speaking truths like I did to you makes people lose their minds. Proof in point.

I'm 65% sure I have seen you reference PRB in a link elsewhere. I can't and wont dedicate the brain cells or patience to going to read to old posts to find it. The simple fact is you think you know everything and anyone who says otherwise you just argue with because your incapable of believing you may not be right.

The conclusion is you like to argue and bag on ANYONE who tries to do any kind of test you don’t feel is worthy. There are always improvements to be made in any scientific test but yet you just pick and pick and pick and pick. Instead of complaining and arguing why don’t you put some effort, money and time in and do some tests and try some to make some of you own tests? I think we all know why.

It appears I struck a nerve.

It’s funny that people get some kind of a god status from doing tests regardless of how flawed those tests may be and anyone who points out those flaws is the problem.

I used to do some testing and post about them on snipershide, I really don’t care to anymore because I have better shit to do with my time. If you don’t like what I have to say you’re welcome to use the ignore feature. Problem solved.

You didn't strike a nerve at all. Heck I'm having a good time putting you into your place.

Nobody here is getting a god status. Your just making stuff up and bagging on people again to suit your argument because your argument can't stand on its own. Saying someone has a god complex is never said in a positive light so don't even try and spin it.

Really. Well post some links. I think your just making stuff up to suit your narrative again. Clearly you have enough time to argue with people here. I guess you think that’s more productive.

Why would I ignore you I can respond to your baseless arguments no problem.
