Hi folks, looking for the title says. Something to slip into, wade into streams and mud, for hunting and chores.
True minimal boot not needed, but something that won't hurt after wearing and ideally without a heal drop. I have been in Altra and Vivo Trackers for my hunts for a few years, for reference. Thanks

Neopreneboots with the chaintread sole have minimal lift. The xtratuf wheelhouse deck boot has a wider toebox box and little lift

I will look at the xtratuff. Was there a specific make you meant for "Neopreneboots with the chaintread sole" ? I had Muck brand boots before, neoprene, and not really wide forefoot.

These Guide Gear boots are pretty minimal and light. You might have to order a pair and try them on to see if the toebox works for you. For ground feel and freedom of foot movement, they are the best muck style boots I've found.

There are knockoffs sold by farm stores, Academy, amazon that have the old chaintread type sole used on the original LLBean rubber bottoms, those have the least lift of any rubber boot. As far as wide forefoot the wheelhouse style forefoot is what to look for. Xtratuf’s regular deck boot for me requires a 10 vs the wheelhouse is a roomy 9 to give an example.

I have 9.5 4E width feet. My Lacrosse size 10 knee boots work for me. Other brands, at Cabelas, I could not even get on my feet. YMMV.

I got the Guide Gear neoprene boots and they're relatively low structure, somewhat wide front. They run a little large. Overall seem decent for a low priced slip on boot.

Great question. Love my Vivos but sometimes I'm lazy and don't want to lace and unlace them. Vivo does make some shoes that are slip on/off, but I'm not aware of any boots.

The options above appear to have little lift, but the toe boxes seem normal to me. Am I wrong?

Here’s from left to right my crocs, my wife’s new balance, the guide gear boots and my altras. So you can see not as narrow as a NB or Nike but not quite as wide as the others.
Very little structure in the boots.

These have little to no arch support and no stiffness. I'm not sure about the drop but it isn't excessive. They are wide through the toe box. They are very light for over the calf boots.
