MTNTOUGH Post Season Program


Matt Cashell hops on with me to talk about the MTNTOUGH Post Season fitness program. Matt and I reviewed the program last year along with the Pre Season program. Since recording this episode MTNTOUGH has come out with their 30-30 Bodyweight Only program, where you don’t need machines. PLUS, they also added a Backcountry Nutrition Course. Ill just say to those that are doing this program that adding a Concept 2 Rower and a SkiErg to your home gym is money well spent. I’ve owned both for years now and it’s definitely nice being able to mix it up with running.

You mentioned MTNTOUGH is working on an app based system, any word on when they will have that available?

What is the MTNTOUGH strength focus during the post season workout? -Deadlift, Press, Back squat, Bench press?

That was about a year ago on the app and I haven’t heard any updates. If I do I’ll post it up ASAP.

Those are the major exercises, yes. They do a pretty high weight low rep structure especially as you move on through the course. They mix in a bit of cardio too like step ups with high weight.

i had pretty good success with the 16 week pre-season program the last two years. It seemed on the money for mountain prep during the summer. I will probably do it again next summer as well.
