Mtn ops questions

Not hating here but is there testing being done on any brand of these products currently on the market as to the long term health effects of ingesting this on a daily basis?
Take these caffeine based mixes, doesn't caffeine raise heart rate and blood pressure? add hiking 1500'K vertical multiple times a day and it sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen?
I don't do caffeine at all and I'm just going by some reading I've done,do any of these companies have studies about this?

I agree it certainly can't be the best for you, but neither is not getting a full 8 hours of sleep and many other bad habits that we all have. People have been drinking coffee and tea several times a day for well over a hundred years so while it may cause heart issues, I'm not a doctor but I would consider obesity and other lifestyle and hereditary factors more important. While I do agree they aren't the best for you, the majority of the studies concluding they are bad for you such as the one referenced only can make such a conclusion for those who consume energy drinks and caffeine in extreme excess.

Also, scientific papers and their conclusions aren't meant for consumption by the general public. For those whom aren't familiar with the scientific process, a paper is published with the results of a study in order to be critiqued by peers. Only after a study is critiqued and repeated with the same results can it be considered a fact and not until then. This is the problem with the way science is being done today; there is no funding in repeating and confirming the results of a study once a conclusion has been reached unless the goal is to contradict the conclusion. Due to the Creatine in yeti, it will increase your need for aqua. Something to think about if water is tough to come by where you are hunting.
