MT NR general elk odds

But no tags go to people with one point? Is it like a rule if you have one point you cant enter but with none you can?
It's a true preference system for 75% of tags,(After the 25% for zero points).
Also, you can't have more than 3 points, not sure if they purge them or you get stuck there.

So currently anyone with 3 will draw, anyone with 2 is in a pool of applicants that is bigger than the available tags, hence the 84% at 2. Some 2 pt tag holders will not draw and will go in the next year with 3. No tags make down to the 1pt level.
Eventually years down the road, demand will outweigh supply, and the 2-point level odds will continue to creep down to zero chance of drawing. It will then become a random draw in the 3-point pool.

Ok that makes sense, got it

At what point do we start letting some of these guys figure it out on their own? Every year tags get harder and harder to come by. Yet, it has literally never been easier to figure out than it is today. Every single piece of the process is spoon fed to everyone by all these people trying to make money off of the game. I wish every state were like MT; it will make a person read a little bit. I googled "Montana draw stats"; it then took me exactly 5 clicks and less than 15 seconds to get to the information in question.
