Zippo refuelable hand warmer - thinking of a second and I'll have Backpackable boot driers...

Anyone ever tried this?

Thinking of a at bed - sit over night....so it does work just takes time?

There was an idea posted song this line last year dealing with a plastic tube a hot pack. Been meaning to try it out. I'll see if I can find the thread tomorrow.

So take the zippos and add a piece of PVC and we should be rocking....btw built in vacuum cleaner pipe is thin light and around 2"

my experience is that the disposable hand warmers and the GI mre heaters are not very effective above 10,000 ft. i tried it in boots a long time ago.

just thinking out loud here. if the pvc weights 11 oz. for 2 boots how much would a fan weigh to just blow air in the boots?

Never did but still something I want to look into. I like the tube idea but I could never come up with other uses for the tubes to better justify lugging them along.

That is a good point. I know there are some small USB fans out there and that would work if you had a battery pack. I guess to justify it you could also use the fan to circulate air in a stuffy tent or stoke a fire. Something like this? A fan and a light.
