Labor Day 2017 BC goat
Just got him back 6/19

If I get another one this year will likely rug him and as others suggested, roll up with pack display. Be cool I think to look back on vintage Stone Glacier etc pack in 20 years

Bumping This Thread again. Just got an old guy a couple weeks back and I'm thinking either a head or the wall pedestal for a mount. Was going to euro him but he's big and old and deserves a proper mount.

Please keep sharing pics.

Thank you!

Guys I harvested this goat back in November and I just can’t decide what to do with him! So many cool mounts on this thread have given me inspiration. Full body or rug (with skull, horns and hoofs). My bro says a rug is a waste with my long haired November billy but I think they look awesome and I know my kids would fight over who gets to lay on that goat in front of the fireplace... What to do?

Since I used this thread for ideas for my mount I thought I'd share mine. Couldn't find many examples of bedded goats but I went for it since I didn't have the height for standing. Super happy with how it turned out!

Here is my goat rug from my solo hunt back in 2018. This is the goat I did a post-hunt report on another thread here on Rokslide.

I just got this hung up past weekend. It was a team effort to get it hung up above a staircase. Nevermind the hole in the drywall where my Dad went ham with the drill. I’ll get that patched soon. I’m trying to decide if I want to comb or fluff the hair up a bit or leave it as is.

Kidd Ross that bedded goat turned out awesome! I actually prefer the mounts where the animal is stationary, they look more realistic.

Arctic_Beaver that rug looks amazing! Man there are just too many cool things you can do with a goat!

Thanks for the kind words! I ended up adding some habitat. I think it helped bring it all together

The full body mounts look great in this thread, makes me wish I started putting in for draws and hunts 20 years ago.

Here's my half body mount from last year's goat. Turned out awesome, I think I even prefer it over a full body...View attachment 285776View attachment 285774
I really like that. When you caped and dressed it had you kept the hole hide. I ask as we only kept to the calves (in human terms).

You can you see in the pic that he's pretty impressive with his shoulder mass.

Would be cool to try to show that in his mount. Afraid maybe we didn't keep everything we needed to
