Most reliable and shootable 9mm semi auto pistols

For the folks with p365 series did you upgrade the safety levers to a wider model and whose safety was it? I decided to put my safety levers back on my xl to give it a try and they're too small and easy to miss.
I used the armory craft safety. Not much bigger but it made manipulation much easier.

Not sure why it’s even questioned.
You may like others better, you may shoot others better but there’s no question Z
Glocks are ugly, glocks are like bricks, they are primarily plastic guns. They can’t even hold a candle to the craftsmanship or looks of a beautiful 1911 or well timed knot n frame.
But they are the workhorse of pistols and the definition of reliability. When you want something that just works, when you need to rely on something that simply just works, it’s a glock.

I strarted out with Glock but my grouping with a glock is the size of a basket ball. Switch to CZp10 since it's the same feel and size as my g19 and my group is the size of a baseball now..... and recently I bought a 365 bc I now have a dad bod and needed something smaller that didn't dig into my investment so much (investment is my gut that I've put a lot of time and money into growing into what it is today) lol I won't ever deny the reliability of durability of a Glock, I just don't want that to by my EDC when I am not confident in my shot placement with it.

The best one i have ever shot , as far as a compact 9mm, is the Springfield Hellcat. It is extremely accurate and easy to shoot. To say i was shocked would be an understatement.

Unless it's a CZ.

For me it's a VP9, HKs version of a Glock.

Glocks are great, I just can't get along with their grips. The VP9 just fits my hand a lot better .

I always say Glock if you can shoot one well, if not then get a PDP or VP9. They check all the boxes
Not shooting one well is due to a lack of practice. But then again, if someone isn’t putting the time in I guess a bell curve is acceptable. Haha, I’m only half serious.

That’s a fantastic score for the first time. Was it with irons or a dot?

Well, do you want just a test and you don’t care to be able to diagnose the things causing failure? Or do you want a test that isolates different skills to see where the failures lie?

I would want to think about it some more for a firm answer, but off the cuff for just a test:

Pure precision- 25 yard B8 or FBI bull eye, 10 rounds.

For draw speed and recoil control a Bill drill using the B8/FBI bull and only counting inside the 8 ring is good. But, I think 3 of the same targets stacked in distance- one at 3.5 yards, one at 7, one at 15 yards. Start in the 15 yard target, shoot three rounds, then 3 at 7 yards, and 3 at 3.5 yards. All using a shot timer and all rounds must be in the 8 ring.
@justinspicher and I ran a version of this, going from memory we screwed up distances (25,15, 10), under 6 seconds in the black was a challenge.

Oh boy

It took 20 volunteers to get 10,000 rounds on a pistol, and they thought that it was so impressive that a pistol would last 10,000 rounds that they framed it in a box with a glass cover. 😂

Thing is, 10,000 rounds is “impressive” for an American company.

Didn’t clear it and then looked at the “gunk” on the end of the barrel?

Is this Shot Show?

I do not like wide front sights, nor very large air gaps around the front sight. Dawson Precision adjustable rear and FO front set are about right. About a .100 to .115 front, and a .125 or so rear notch.

The Ameriglo front that I have on one pistol (posted above) is .145 I believe? It’s thicker than I usually like, however the very bright orange ring around the tritium vial acts like a large FO, and is visually the same size as a 5-6” target at 25 yards. The rear sight is a Dawson Precision fixed sight- combined there is very little air gap around the front sight. Not the best for true bullseye shooting, but really good for speed precision.

Can’t remember if I’ve used one of theirs that’s .09”. I have the .100”- I think there are a couple of pictures of some of them that I listed earlier that I posted in the thread- no issues through heinous use.

So these would be your rec for CC? Got a G19 gen 5 at a price I couldn't pass up.
