most economical way to get a 22 creedmor?

What is the most economical way to get a 22 CM rifle? I am looking hard at the horizion rifles but I think I can pick up a tikka t3 .223 for about $700.

Tikka 223 or 22-250 with the 8 twist barrels. Have it rechambered to 22 Creed by a good smith.

223 bolt face is smaller than creed. FYI 22-250 would be correct

Buy an 8 twist 22-250 pull the barrel and have it re chambered to 22 creed and threaded. machining will probably be in the 400-450 range.

1:8 22/250 and rechamber is probably the cheapest route.

Check here for likely best price a I’ve heard the shipping can be kinda slow though.

Who would you use for a rechamber? Out here in west tx we don’t have many up to date gunsmiths

Go to your local shop and look for used Tikkas. I do this a few times a year at local shops and can find “used” tikkas that are barely even used.

You can also find a lot of the “premium” model tikkas as they are popular candidate for banquet and local foundation give aways. They are guns for hundreds of dollars off.
