This one pushed me over the edge. I’ve been weeding out the heavier rifles in my safe (I rarely have time to drive far enough to shoot more than 300 yards at the local range anymore anyway), since I’ve kind of lost interest in them. This one just kicked my well loved 223 ackley out of the safe. With Lapua brass being unobtainium, I wonder if I’d have any luck running some AI brass with a bunch of firings on it through a standard 223 sizer?

Wish it was stainless, but as much luck as everyone has hunting with the 223, I don’t know that I’ll do that with monos anyway so it will be fine. I guess my T1X has been through the wringer and doesn’t seem any worse for wear, so the tikka bluing must be OK.

You could always buy a few boxes of berger 223 ammo and then you'll have lapua brass. Funny thing is, I noticed Lapua 223 brass in stock at a few retailers over the last week.

Thought about the Berger factory option, but I doubt there’s any in AK, and it’s a pain to get ammo shipped up here. I’ll give finding Lapua a renewed look if it’s been spotted recently though!
