Moose bullet for tikka .243

I would like to say that I underestimated your ability to post something even less intelligent…. But you did not disappoint.
Form,
Not sure how you can do your lengthy write up on your First Ever elk hunting adventure over on 24 HR CF , describing how you fell off mountains, barely survived your hunt which many of us here did similar hunts when we were twelve years old . Then just a short ten years later you are a self proclaimed expert on hunting big game constantly posting on your self proclaimed expertise .

Many of us here have actually done a lot of big game hunting. Form, your claim of killing “HUNDREDS” of big game animals in just the past ten years just doesn’t add up. So as you say, you have killed hundreds of big game animals such as moose, caribou, grizzly, elk, mule deer, all 200+ animals in just a short 10 year period???

We take a lot of 7-14 day hunts for moose, sheep, elk, mule deer. Most 7-14 day hunts are for only one animal. We take two or three of these hunts per season. In ten years we kill maybe 30-40 big game animals.

Form. With the limited seasons, limited permits, limited amounts of time, with travel time etc. , how does one go from a novice first time hunter 10 years ago to now a self proclaimed internet expert hunter having killed HUNDREDS of big game, including moose, mule deer, caribou, bears, elk etc. The circles I participate in , Wild Sheep Foundation, SCI, RMBS, DSC, RMEF, all have groups of very well traveled and accomplished big game hunters. None of the these associations members that I know from over the years go on enough hunts to kill 20 big game animals a year. This is what you proclaim. Form, let’s see your pics. Simple , just show us your top five moose, grizzly, Mtn sheep, elk, caribou, mule deer. Once you substantiate your claims and post these pics I will quit calling B.S. on you and give a apology on this forum.

I don’t think it really matters what bullet you shoot , just put it in the right place and keep shooting until it’s dead on the ground . 100gr partition or a Barnes TTSX ,
Everybody always says you need a 300wm on nilgai down here, and I have seen plenty killed with .270 , 303 British, 8x57 and they are tougher than moose, because they are thick tough skinned compared to a moose

I was just on the Swift Bullet website looking for other things and saw that they have a 90 gr .243 Scirocco II. Turns out that you can get factory ammo loaded with that bullet. While I have never used that particular bullet, I did shoot a 6x7 point bull elk with a 300 gr .429 Swift A-Frame (muzzleloader), and I was impressed with the performance. The bullet in the photo below was recovered near the hip from a frontal shot towards the center of the chest.

You might email Swift with specific questions about the 90 gr Scirocco. I emailed them once about their handgun bullets and I got a call back from some guy named Bill Hober. Turns out that he was the president of the company. We talked for about a half hour and I got some good information on what he thought a bullet should do.

Note: I did try 1st Gen 180 gr Sciroccos in a 300 RUM and couldn’t get them to shoot that well. In hindsight, I probably should have given my barrel a good cleaning before testing like I do before shooting Barnes bullets.

Scirocco is pretty much the opposite of what you want for moose, unless you like slower kills and tracking.

This is too tough:

I would use a partition, but currently im working on a 108eldm in a 6mm creed that I've heard works well on elk. The grenade effect on the lungs can be a powerful thing.
