If that's where the 176 Atip touches the lands, I'm doubtful that's a standard 308 SAAMI chamber. Good news for those of us that dislike all the 308 freebore.

What you’re seeing is the nose ring cut in the DTAC projectiles. Check post 6 like he said to, he had it rebarreled to a 6 creed.

Prefit capable. That’s impressive. Is tikka the only other production rifle consistent enough for that?

In post #6 he's shooting 176 A-tips, so that's what got me confused. Now that I've had a cup of coffee I can indeed notice that's no 308 cartridge lol.

Yeah his last point in post number 6 is that UM spun up an Ace barrel in 6 creed for him, lots of info to digest in this thread haha

@Formidilosus , how similar is the trigger in that action to the pre -64 model 70? Have you tested reliability of it yet in comparison to factory Tikka trigger?

Identical- it is one. This one will be frozen this winter as others have in the last, however the Pre 64 and older Winchester M70 triggers have general parity with the Tikka triggers in reliability. That is, they are very good.

Yeah. I’m not sure how to make it cleaner in a thread.

Most of the European rifles are. There are other “production” rifles that can take pre-fits- Seekins, etc.
