There are two at the local sportsman warehouse.I think one is a cows rear end and the other one is similar. They are listed at 33 oz. With poles.Anyone ever weigh them minus the poles? How much # do you reduce?

I’ve got the biggest one, side profile. I don’t know the numbers but the poles are atleast 80% of the weight. They’re all steel.

Those poles are the heavy part. I carry the cow rear one around without the poles. I use a paracord loop on top to attach to a branch and sticks to anchor the legs or just hold it and flash it. I don’t use it that often but I quit carrying those poles around after one season for sure. At least 80% of the weight sounds about right.

This right here. It works better if its hanging from a branch about 20 to 30 yards to the side of the caller. Especially good if hunting by yourself. Thermals moving through the branches gives it just enough movement to attract their attention. I use them and they work. Check out youtube and you'll find some videos about how to do this, if needed. Or, PM me.

I have a Miss September, my pack list shows 11.6 oz. I'm pretty sure that is without the poles.

I made a set of poles out of old carbon arrows. Pull out the knocks and glue in an inserts. Then you can thread them together with a cut down and dressed bolt. Push them into the ground with a field point.
