First time applying for an elk tag ever. Its just a general elk non res tag. When would a guy expect draw results? Thanks

Unit 324. Looking into hunting with Broken Arrow Lodge. But yeah I'm beyond excited and now starting to look at what clothes and gear I'll need. Where you headed?

Unit 343. NW of Helena. I have a friend that lives out there. Were doing a DIY public land hunt. 10 day hunt.

Good luck with your hunts. I will be headed out there in fall 2020 for my first ever elk hunt with my brother. We are both buckeyes as well, I am just currently living in Texas. He still in Ohio tho.

Yeah and contrary to what was said about printing your own tag, etc, they just told me today they are mailing them like they've always done. You can find status of what you applied for on "My FWP" on the website.

Yeah, they changed at the last minute due to Corona. They decided that they didn't want the handful of people who didn't have access to a printer coming into fwp offices to get tags printed so they mailed them. Of course, it took them 3 weeks to get them mailed so no one had Turkey or bear tags at the opener so a TON of people had to go into places to get licenses printed. It's possibly one of the dumbest things ever.
