So this is an emotional argument then?

I don’t care what anyone uses. They work. Very well for the applications I use them.
Yeah, I can’t stand the owner. He lied and lied and lied about his bullets BCs, way overstating them. He was trying to market them as a long range hunting bullet, when they are clearly not.

Fair enough. I’ve always found Steve to be very helpful and a good guy to talk to on the phone. I don’t care about BC and I don’t care how they are marketed.

I'm not sure you will find what you are looking for in any .270 bullet. IMO, your best bet is to up the weight of the bullet and shoot the highest BC one your rifle will stabilize. The 140gr Federal trophy bonded tip maybe, or a 150gr Nosler AB (not long range). Any way to maintain as much velocity at distance at possible.

You will struggle to find a mono that has a high BC in a weight that will stabilize in a factory .270. I think you will be better served looking at bonded lead designs if a passthrough is a critical criteria for you.

Thank you. That's what I'm going to try, starting with the 130 Partitions. I really don't want to go up in weight or caliber if I can avoid it.

How do you feel about Speer's owner? They must be related... 😅 E.g., they advertise a .411 g1 for the 75 Gold Dot. I got a .3 g1 for them. Granted, my testing isn't perfect, but the Hornady ELD-M managed to check out pretty damn close to what is listed by Hornady, too close to really tell much difference, from the same testing.

I guess the difference is that Speer’s owner wasn’t on a long range hunting forum marketing their bullets as long range hunting bullets and lying about the BCs to everybody. That is exactly what Hammer’s owner did. Litz tested his bullets and shared the real BCs and Steve with Hammer claimed Litz didnt know what he was doing and stated he knew more about BCs than Litz did. Its all documented on LRH unless they sanitized it all. So yeah, I hate hammer bullets and the owners and anyone who is willing to compromise their integrity to make a buck.
