I have 2 Stocky’s VG2s. I generally like both stocks, but the distance to trigger pull is too dang long. I realize I could get creative and use something like JB Weld, but I care how it looks when it’s done. I don’t mind doing a textured finish over it to cover but would like the overall shape to have symmetry when finished.. Anyone try this? Thanks.

Ive also seen someone lay a piece of material on the front of the grip and use marinetex/devcon on top of it to shorten the distance but cant remember where I saw it. Most likely on here but not positive.

Did exactly that a few weeks ago. Had this stock sitting for over a year in the closet and finally had the motivation to finished it up. Used free form putty to build up grip and Devcon 10110 for texturing the grip and forearm. Will probably finish with some paint to cover up the white putty. 1.75" trigger reach after mod.

Action had a .260Rem CTR barrel in a KRG Bravo chassis with a Bushnell 3-12 LRHS. Lightened up a bit this year with a factory Tikka 22-250 take off barrel re-chambered to 22 Creedmoor and SWFA 3-9×42

I’m using that free form air stuff on a muzzleloader. Will finish it up after September.

For you guys who have used it do you reinforce it or have good luck just slapping it on there?

NICE work!

I used some Cork tape in strips to built it up and covered with bondo. Sanded afterwards and then painted.
