I’ll lay out how I hunt and the niche I’m trying to fill, and maybe yall can help me.

99% private land, a good many permission spots. I enjoy my Summit Viper when I know I have a tree that allows it. These permission spots I have to take my stand with me when I leave. Pretty easy access, don’t have to walk more than a few hundred yards at most. I’m 6’3” and 240lbs and really appreciate having room in a stand.

I bought an XOP hang on and sticks a couple years ago. I forget the model, but it’s the biggest one they offered at the time and after a couple hours my ass kills me.

The Millennium M100 seems like a good option, except for the mounting bracket with the chain that they use (for permanent sets). Is there a way to modify it to be more hang and hunt friendly? Or is there another stand of similar weight and size that would be as easy to hang as my XOP?

They have a cam lock strap with the bracket. What is the issue? you don't like the bracket? I Use a few different Millenniums (150, 100, and M& micro lite) I put chains on my permanent sets/trees and I have the cam lock straps for my "mobile set ups. But, I have used the chain brackets with no issues. Beats the hell out of holding the stand and trying to strap it.

I was under the impression that bracket had a chain on it, and not a strap. Maybe I need to research more. And I’m sure I could make it work but it’s one more thing to bring up the tree with me. Trying to avoid that if possible

I have a millennium m7 and will leave the brackets and sticks in place for permanent spots but also have a bracket that is more mobile friendly. As the other comment said, there is a ratcheting model for the bracket. You can replace the ratchet part with a cambuckle strap. If you google millennium M7 mods, you will find the info for doing this. A few other little tricks that work well too.
