These guys are so full of themselves. They can’t even “stoop” so low as to help out a vendor. And I thought Snipers Hide bad. Totally ridiculous.

This is exactly why people often stay quiet when asked—because some react so irrationally. If it’s not a Nightforce or Trijicon, the discussion quickly turns into an emotional jumble, and anything that doesn’t match your personal preference is deemed unworthy. It’s honestly quite entertaining to watch the complaints about optics that aren’t NF or Trijicon on here. I definitely get my comic fill since the comics in the newspaper aren't around anymore

I disagree. The exact reason why you hear nightforce, trijicon, and SWFA recommended here so frequently is because it is not an emotional response. It’s because they work, and hold up to long-term use and abuse from people who actually use them hard and shoot a lot. It’s the exact opposite of an emotional response.

What did you want to hear? I use Leopold because Pappy said in 1982 that gold rings are the best? Or, I use Zeiss or Swaro because oooh those Europeans know their glass? Those are emotional statements.

Not disagreeing that they don't work because they do. But to act as if all are immune to failure is ludicrous. But you're stating my exact point

Better - Trijicon Tenmile, Nighforce NX8, Zeiss LRP S3, S&B Klassik
Best - S&B 3-15x42 ffp META, Minox ZP5 THLR

Some interesting new offerings coming out that have yet to be tested (S2H, Vortex G3 4-24, NF NX6, new wide angle model now that Swaro patent is up)
