Mineral licks

I was wondering if anyone knew if mule deer hit mineral licks all year or is it a seasonal thing? I am hoping they will still be hitting it in January. I put a camera up on this one in June and in 3.5 days filled up a 32 GB card.

20 years running licks... biggest time they hit them is with green up antler growth and lactation. Once antlers stop and fawns weaned plus as vegetation dies the need for salt and minerals diminishes

I appreciate the reply, I had never found a spot like this before, the activity is amazing.

I imagine the Does will still hang in the same area regardless which should bring the bucks come January. Pretty excited about this area, I have seen some nice velvet bucks during the Sept elk hunts and I have a hunch that some bruisers will be roaming this area for the rut.
